“Each of you knows that the foundation of our faith is charity. Without it, our religion would crumble. We will never be truly Catholic unless we conform our entire lives to the two commandments that are the essence of the Catholic faith: to love the Lord, our God, with all our strength, and to love our neighbor as ourselves.”

– St. Pier Giorgio Frassati

St. Pier Giorgio Frassati, like Sts. Kateri Tekakwitha and Thérèse of Lisieux before him, lived a short 24 years. But in that time this 20th-century Italian man made an indelible mark on those he met. Pope St. John Paul II called him the “Man of the Eight Beatitudes,” and to this day Frassati inspires people with his love for God and for others.
